The Web's Largest School Bus Community...

Hello, and welcome to the completely new School Bus Central website. As you can see, there are many new and exciting changes, designed to create the optimum viewing experience, whether a bus enthusiast, driver, technician, or someone exploring the bus industry.

Photos from the previous version of School Bus Central can be seen at: http://www.schoolbuscentral.com/gallery/index.htm

Photos added since the transition to the new platform can be found to the left in the "Bus Listings" section.

Due to time constraints, SBC has not been able to move all of the old photo listings and link listings over to the new platform. Please use the link above to see all of the archived content, and thank you for your patience!

Over the past year, countless hours of planning, hard work, and dedication was put into designing and preparing the most user-friendly school bus database, and information center in existence. From our new photo system, to the classifieds, to the forums, there are many exciting changes to explore!

Bus Listings: The bus listings section takes an entirely new approach to finding the photos and literature you need. Instead of listing buses through plain pages, and adding links to a long list, the new listings system is dynamic, and allows actual real-time searching, and organization of all the listings. For instance, you can search by body, chassis, location, and many other variables, which helps to find exactly the bus you want, much, much quicker than a typical photo system.

The second beauty in this new system is the ability to upload photos and literature directly to the site, without ever having to e-mail the photos. In order to upload your content, register yourself on the site, and when the process is complete, click on "Create Listing" which will be found on the left of each non-forum page under "User Menu". Simply plug in all the variables, and select the photos, and upload... it's THAT simple! Upon upload, a site administrator will view the listing, and then approve it to be added to the database.

Bus Forum: Our bus forum differentiates itself from other bus forums by creating more specialized boards to allow more in-depth conversation among bus fans by region, bus technicians, and all other industry members. By providing a professional atmosphere, the goal of our forums is to enlighten members on all types of industry information, and to meet new friends! Topics are not just limited to school buses... with our lizard lounge, you can talk about essentially everything that is on your mind.

Event Calendar: In the past, many visitors have e-mailed us wondering about industry events such as trade shows, bus roadeos, and industry meetings. Over the coming months, many events will be added to the calendar in order to provide an easy-to-reach source for all of the industry's major happenings. Have an event to add? No problem! Drop us a line, and we will gladly add it to our calendar.

Classifieds: School Bus Central doesn't sell buses ourselves, and for many years we have been receiving e-mails asking about buses for sale. In an effort to bring together buyers and sellers, we have developed a new classifieds section to allow sellers of buses, bus products, and other industry-related items to link together with buyers. All buses that are for sale get listed both in the classifieds section, and in the bus listings section, with "FOR SALE" listed in for buses in our classifieds. SBC's classifieds are advantageous for all sellers as we attract a targeted market of the industry, specifically enthusiasts, drivers, operators, and dealers.

News: The news section will be devoted to major industry announcements, and major School Bus Central announcements. All other news highlights will be on our forums, in an effort to provide a discussion point for any occurrences regarding school buses.

Shopping: Shirts, hats, decals, gifts, and much more can be found under the "Go Shopping" link, which brings you to our school bus store! Featuring all types of buses and designs, the SBC Store offers the highest quality items at fair pricing. Show your pride in the industry by purchasing your favorite bus on any item! Custom items are available upon request... almost any photograph can be added to your merchandise, so feel free to contact us for further details.

As you can see, there are many awesome new features to get accustomed to. I sincerely hope that you find the site more enjoyable than ever, and find it easy to navigate. Of course all comments are appreciated, whether e-mailed or posted on the forum. SBC 4 will be an on-going project, as more features will be added in the future as we get ideas and suggestions in.

I thank all of you who have been with me through the years, and welcome all new viewers. This site started out as a small enthusiast site, and is now a site featuring photos and so much more from many more enthusiasts. I am proud to bring together such a great community of individuals... thanks for visiting!

Best Regards,

Webmaster, School Bus Central
